The American Academy of Ophthalmology’s EyeCare America public service program, and the Resource And Promotion of Health Alliance, Inc., are partnering together to provide free educational information about glaucoma, and access to eye care for eligible individuals through EyeCare America.
People with a family history of glaucoma and African Americans are at significant increased risk. Glaucoma is known as the sneak thief of sight because there are often no early warning signs. Early detection by getting a medical eye exam can preserve sight. EyeCare America has helped nearly 2 million people since 1985. More than 90% of the care provided is a no-out-of-pocket cost to the patients.
Together EyeCare America and R.A.P.H.A. are offering FREE educational material and a light-up magnifier gift. If you would like to spread the word about this vital public service to your members, fill out the form below to place your order while supplies last. Also available is a newsletter or bulletin insert. Please indicate how many packets you would like.
